Isang Tipikal na Araw sa Buhay ng Isang Fan Girl
Idolizing somebody is not something to be ashamed of. In fact, the act of being a fan girl/boy requires a lot of courage and confidence. Not all can admit that there is someone greater than him, but we can. We just learn to accept others and idolize them, because we accept who we are, and others who can’t just simply bash us, but we don’t get mad because we know that they envy us.
It was way back July 2012 just a couple of year and months ago when I started being a fan girl. I don’t know what happen to me but all I can say is, because of it my life has changed. Cheesy as it may sounds but definitely it was a life changing event for me. Here is some of the videos I've taken on the day I've become a fan girl myself. Definitely it was nice reminiscing the past.
As I cherished that day, the day that I've accepted that I also am trapped to the world that I hate before and never in my wildest dream did I ever imagine that I will belong to those what I called before “the crazy ones, those who wastes their time, had no direction in life, no purpose in life, dumb people” and now I’m proud to say I am one of them.
I am writing this to answer the question what does being a fan girl change me as a person.. Hmm.. that is quite hard to answer because I know each one of us had change one way or another and I am no exception to all of you who may had done the same things as I have, but anyway to put it simply I will just compile the fan girl experience and make like it happen in just one day- WELCOME TO THE LIFE CHANGING PHASE OF ME!
It was Sunday and the sun shines brightly, as I walk back home from the church. I directly went up to my room only to found out that I had already finish doing all my assignments and done doing advance reading. What should I do then?? Hmmm.. I’ll just sleep anyway, but as I was about to go to sleep I quickly get up as I hear someone calling my name and there you have Mom just dropped by to my room just to give me a package. What is this? Some sort of books, or what? But I haven’t ordered anything. Anyways I opened it and a big smile just been painted in my face as I’ve seen posters from my favorite group. OMO!! I didn’t expect that it will arrived today luckily my Mom didn’t know that it was something related to kpop or else I’m dead meat . I quickly opened the laptop, played the loudest possible kpop music in my room, go to youtube to download new songs, then go to various kpop portal sites like allkpop, mwave, kmusic, pkci, opened my facebook of course and there begins my spazzing. As I was enjoying looking through various pages and singing on top of my voice with the music that has been playing I suddenly stopped and quickly closes my laptop. A deep sigh of relief is all I can do as my Mom leaves the room when she believes me that I was just practicing for a song number that would be presented during my Music class. Oh why did I forget to lock the door? There you have it, it’s all locked. Now back to business. I opened the laptop again. And when I see the time, I hurriedly go to the website for live streaming as I was about to watch a Korean music program. AHHH!! I’m totally pissed off! The show is already starting. Anyways luckily my bias group hasn’t performed yet. I went to facebook and posted my status. “Yes daebak!! They won. Congrats oppa you deserve it. I’m so proud of you.!” I was about to log-out when I saw my bias photo in my home page and I clicked shared. “Oppa is so handsome!!” Oppss… I have to log-out now byeeiii.! Ring, ring, ring, my cellphone is vibrating. I’ve read the text and replied, “Sorry I can’t come I’ve been saving my money so I really can’t go to the mall with you. Some other time after the concert.” Sent.
At the afternoon, I was beside my Mom in the grocery store when suddenly I saw, a girl wearing a headband, t-shirt, and lanyard. My Mom was busy choosing what to buy when I decided to go near her. But wait my Mom told me never to talk to strangers and I also don’t do that before. It is so embarrassing to talk to her just because I know that she is also a fan girl like me. INHALE, EXHALE… ok I’ll go. “Hi, Are you an ELF??.” She called me so I ended my conversation with her and quickly approaches Mom. I smiled as I walk back to her, happy to meet a new friend again. She asked me what to eat; despite my hesitation I told her I want to try Korean food. It was so spicy and I almost didn't eat it, but despite all of that I will definitely come back to try other dishes that my bias loves. It was already late at night when we went back home. Tired and I should be sleeping now, but I opened my laptop and posted the video presentation I’ve made for my bias and sent the link through their official facebook account. At exactly 11:00 pm here in Philippines, 12:00 am in Korea I’ve tweeted about the birthday of my bias, and guess what.. YEY!! It trend worldwide and I am so happy to be part of it. Amazing I hope they will know it.
Before I sleep, I checked my facebook account and seen the event reminder on the corner. SS5 in Manila Oct. 26, 2013 Are you coming, there is join, maybe, decline button. I was about to click the maybe button since I’m not sure if I have the money to go there, but then I’ve think I’ll click Join since I will do anything just to be part of SS5. Lights out, good night everyone.
Yes I am a typical fan girl, we both have almost the same experiences. We cry together, laugh with each other, died of waiting forever, but being a fan girl is priceless. It makes me feel that there is millions of reason why we should live. I am just a common fan girl, but maybe what makes me unique from all of you, is that being a fan girl gives me a purpose. I am not the old me anymore, I learn to live and appreciate every little thing that happens. Everything I do it for kpop, I do it because it makes me happy. And this simple things makes me happy, so I choose to be happy...
